UPDATE: A Musky Jitterbug page has been added as of October 2007, for Special order Wooden Musky Jitterbugs. Click the link above to view it. On a side note. If anyone uses any pictures (especially ones that I or contributers here took), please give credit. In 2007 someone, who shall remain nameless other than S.H., wrote a book on Arbogast, and used several photos from this site (without permission). A little bit of credit for work I, or other contributers to this site have done - would have been nice. Sorry for the tangent, just a word of advice.

W
elcome to Jittermania! I have been an active collector of Fred Arbogast Jitterbugs and Misc. Arbogast items over the last several years. Over those last few years - I have received hundreds of emails asking questions about the Fred Arbogast Company. I felt there were not many sites out there pertaining to the Fred Arbogast Company - So I built this site. If you have any questions, comments, or corrections, please click the contact button above. If you are here looking to sell baits, please scroll down a little ways and look at the right hand side of this page.

In no way, shape, or form am I, or this website, in any way, related to the Fred Arbogast Company. For more info. regarding the company today, please visit them here.

I started to collect Jitterbugs in 1998 - After landing a very nice bass (over 5 pounds) here in Northeastern Pennsylvania on a 1/4oz Perch Jitterbug. I have been sinced diagnosed with - Jittermania. Since 1997 I have expanded my collection to nearly 300 different Jitterbugs - by some comparisons - a small collection, i know - but its growing ever so rapidly. I hope that through this website I can help to educate people about the Jitterbug - and also provide a place for fellow Jitterbug enthusiasts. This is a work in progress - and will be updated as I have the time. Between work, school and leisure time - I will try my best to update on a somewhat weekly basis. Thank you to all whom have helped by adding baits, or even pictures over the years. Id like to Thank Ron Bennett, Gene Parker, Bill Dietrich, Jim Morrison, Sam Van Camp, Bill Mitzel, Bryant Copley, Mike Hanes, Doyne Aldridge, Mark Shumway and all of the other "bug" collectors I might have missed - of which I know there are several.
